to ATOMOSphere, Demonstrated Live at IBC2026

Mocha Chai Laboratories has integrated PlanckOne FoleyAI with ATOMOSphere, the cloud production platform from Atomos — and the two companies showed the workflow running end to end at IBC2026, at Atomos stand 7.B19, RAI Amsterdam.

The integration closes a gap that has sat in the middle of post-production for decades. Footage that lands in an ATOMOSphere workspace can now be sent straight to PlanckOne FoleyAI, which watches the picture and returns synchronized diegetic sound — footsteps, fabric movement and impacts — laid out as separate, editable layers. No stems go in. No reference track goes in. The picture is the brief.

What visitors saw at stand 7.B19

The demonstration at IBC2026 was deliberately unglamorous, because the point was the round trip. A clip sat in an ATOMOSphere workspace. It was sent to PlanckOne FoleyAI from inside that workspace. It came back as a Foley session with the layers already split — and a sound designer then pushed a footstep pass around at the stand, changing weight and cadence, without touching anything else in the mix.

Weeks of scheduling, compressed into hours

A conventional Foley pass means booking a stage, a Foley artist, a mixer and a recordist, then spotting the cut and performing it prop by prop. It is craft work, and it is expensive to schedule early — which is exactly when a director most wants to hear whether a scene is working.

PlanckOne FoleyAI is built to produce a defensible starting point in hours rather than weeks, so that the conversation about sound can begin while picture is still moving. It is not a replacement for the stage. It is what the stage day can start from.

Built inside a working post house

PlanckOne FoleyAI was developed by Mocha Chai Laboratories, a Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos certified facility that has spent more than a decade doing colour, editorial and sound for feature, television and branded work across Asia. The system is built on open-source large language models and trained on the studio's own in-house sound library together with real post-production data from jobs that shipped.

That provenance shows up in the design decisions: PlanckOne FoleyAI is made to drop into editorial pipelines that already exist, rather than asking a team to rebuild around it.
